A Tennessee Vols fan is responsible for the mural of Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning that went viral over the winter.
If you spent any time on Twitter/X.com during the winter/early spring, you likely saw the viral image of a mural of Manning in Austin, TX.
The image of the mural made the rounds on social media without any real explanation of where it came from and why it was there.

Last week, On3's Inside Texas tracked down the artist who painted the mural.
According to Inside Texas, a local artist in Austin named Koby Hyde is responsible for the painting. Hyde is originally from Knoxville and he's "a self-proclaimed huge Vols fan".
Hyde painted the mural on June 23, 2022 (the day Manning committed to Texas).
The mural was heavily criticized (the internet, as we all know, can be a terrible place at times), so Hyde, according to Inside Texas, went back last week and went with his original idea -- a mural of former Longhorns running back Ricky Williams.
You can check out Hyde's full interview (and see the Williams mural) with Inside Texas here.
